I regret to inform you all that our good friend passed away this date. I
have no info on funeral arrangements or an address for cards to his family.
I only know of a niece, Sue Fleming. If I should hear, I will get back to
you.
Shirley

Hi Tom,
On Sunday, August 13th, Phil Stover passed away from respiratory
complications at age 74. I'd like to share a little about Phil's life
with all those who knew him through skating.
After graduating from our local public schools, Phil went on to attend
Yale and Denison Universities. He graduated from the Wharton School of
Economics in 1948. Between 1941 and 1946, he served in the U. S. Navy.
He began his working career at the Bank of Oklahoma and eventually
became a senior operations officer before retiring to start his own
consulting firm. In the mid 1970s, he served as director of the Tulsa
Oilers Baseball franchise and was an executive with several other
baseball franchises, mostly in the South.
Phil served on many business and philanthropic boards including the
Oklahoma Council of Economic Education, the Tulsa Utility Board, the
Metropolitan Water Authority, the Salvation Army Advisory Board, Junior
Achievement, Tulsa March of Dimes and the Tulsa Jaycees.
He is survived by his sister, Peggy Stover Ratcliffe, or Jackson,
Mississippi. Friends are making donations to the March of Dimes, 5147
South Harvard Ave., Tulsa, OK 74135, the Salvation Army, or other
charities of their choice.
